Dr. Alishia Chan

Dr. Chan grew up in the Bay Area. She went to Castro Valley High School then received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Born in Hong Kong, Dr. Chan is fluent in English and Chinese. She moved to the United States when she was eight and grew up in the East Bay. She enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activities including kayaking, swimming, basketball, and traveling.

Dr. Chan manages our dry eye clinic. She also focuses on hard to fit contact lenses, pediatrics care, and general family optometry. She is Board certified by the California State Board of Optometry. Her professional affiliations include: American Optometric Association California Optometric Association Alameda/Contra Costa County Optometric Association

As an active member of Lion's Club since she was in Boston, Dr. Chan has continued to make an impact in her community by promoting eye health awareness through eye screenings and presentations to children and elders. She enjoys traveling to undeveloped countries and providing eye care to socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals. Dr. Chan traveled abroad as a member of Unite for Sight and prescribed eyewear to over 1200 students in remote areas and rural areas. She continues to provided eye exams to the socioeconomically disadvantaged.


Dr. Jessica Hoang

Dr. Hoang grew up in the Bay Area, attended Granada High School and graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. She graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry, earning her Doctor of Optometry degree in New York, New York. 

Her special interests include pediatric care and myopia control, treating dry eye, contact lens fittings, and providing care with the full scope of optometric practice. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, bouldering, skateboarding, running, and spending time with friends and family. 

At SUNY College of Optometry, she was the treasurer for a chapter of ACE - The Health Practitioner’s Society that provided interdisciplinary healthcare screenings. She was also the treasurer for the Student Chapter of American Public Health Association helping to raise $1,400 for Optometry Giving Sight’s World Sight Day Challenge.

In August 2019, Dr. Hoang volunteered in underserved and rural communities in Vietnam for two weeks with the Vietnam Health Clinic (VHC) based out of Seattle, providing care with a mobile health clinic that provided medical, dental, optometric, pharmaceutical, and therapeutic services. She is committed to continuing volunteerism in the Bay Area.


Dr. Thuy Le

Dr. Le is a graduate of Western University of Health Science College of Optometry, where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. She practiced at a several private practices through out here career.

At Golden Optometry, Dr. Le provided comprehensive eye exams with an emphasis on myopia control tools such as Ortho-K, Atropine, soft contact and glasses.

At California Eye Specialist, she diagnosed and managed patients with ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eyes, and other chronic ocular pathologies and ocular emergencies.

At the Vision Center of West Phoenix, Dr. Le provided comprehensive eye exams and contact lens exams for children and adults, as well as vision therapy for binocular vision patients. She also managed dry eyes, eye infections, eye allergies, keratoconus, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic disorders.

Dr. Le is a member of the California Optometric Association and the Alameda Contra Costa Counties Optometry Society.


Dr. Emily So

Dr. So is a graduate of University of California Riverside where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She earned her doctorate degree in 2009 from New England College of Optometry, Boston. Her clinical experience includes her rotations at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, East Boston Neighborhood Health Center Eye Clinic, Wenzhou Medical College School of Optometry and Ophthalmology, and Veterans Affairs Hospital, Lowell in Massachusetts. Dr. So then completed an Ocular Disease/Geriatric Primary Care Residency program at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, Sepulveda in California.

Dr. So is certified for the Treatment of Glaucoma as well as to prescribe Diagnostic & Therapeutic Agents and Controlled Substance Agents for the treatment of eye diseases.

Dr. So’s special interests include dry eye treatments, diabetic eye exams, contact lens fitting, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, and she is committed to providing excellent care with full scope of optometry from pediatric to geriatric populations. Dr. So had served as Vice President in 2007-2008 for the NECO chapter of Lions Club International. She has participated in ocular health screenings, fundraising, and other volunteer services to support communities around the Boston area.

Dr. So was born and raised in Fremont, California. She is a first generation Chinese American, and speaks Cantonese. During her free time, Dr. So enjoys skiing, travelling, and spending time with her family.
