Pediatric Eye Exam

80% of a child's learning in school is through vision. Pediatric eye exams are important to ensure your child's eyes are healthy and have no vision problems that could interfere with school performance or affect your child's safety.

Children should have their first comprehensive eye exam at one year of age. Then should have annual eye exams to make sure their eyes are developing properly.

A brief examination of a child’s eyes by a pediatrician or family practice doctor is not a substitute for an annual eye exam performed by an optometrist. Optometrists have the advanced training and clinical tools to perform a thorough evaluation of your child's eyes and vision.
